Just some of the terms you may hear with reference to the tuning of modern cars, the most commonly used one seems to be ECU Remapping…
MPG Tuning offer Professional Chip Tuning and ECU Remapping services on an enormous range of modern vehicles.
Using cutting edge technology in the pursuit of ultimate engine performance, our team of tuners specialise in software programming for a massive range of modern vehicles.
They have extensive experience in engine management software programming, eco tuning and performance tuning
There are several methods used to reprogram ECU’s according to the type of ECU in question.
- OBD Remapping – Flashing
- Chip Tuning – Programming Direct to Memory Chip
- BDM – Programming Direct to ECU PCB
- Boot Mode – Programming Direct to ECU PCB
Not all tuners are equal and when you pick a tuner based on price alone, you are likely to regret it
There are 100’s of hobby tuners out to make a quick buck, purchase out of date, but cheap equipment. and tout themselves as experts in performance tuning, yet often cause damage that they cannot fix.
Self Acclaimed Industry No 1
There are some in the industry, who have taken it upon themselves to declare themselves the UK’s No.1 Ecu Remapping company in the UK!
Apart from being ultra conceited, it is also untrue.
There are big well known companies in the UK who are well established and have spent many years building a reputation for fine work.
So I wonder how a remapping business that has been re selling remaps for less than 2 years, feel that they should even make such a claim?
Yes you heard right FAKE although obviously morally wrong, I suspect this practice would also be classed as obtaining money by deception?
So what do I mean by Fake Tuning or Fake Remaps?
What I mean is a deliberate act where a “so called” ecu remapping specialist advertises a remap service at a cost that undercuts professional companies substantially, then proceeds to Pretend to Remap his customers cars, but in reality does nothing other than tell a convincing story.
How do we know Fake Remapping happens?
Easy, we operate in the same town “Cannock” and get customers coming to us with cars that are supposed to be remapped, yet are factory standard.
What are are trading standards doing about it?
Nothing, because they do not understand the technology, there are conmen in cannock and other parts of the UK ripping people off with Fake Remaps.
Whatever product or service you are shopping for, research the person or company you plan to use.
If you base your decision on cost alone, you throw the door wide open and let the crooks in…
Competitive Market Place
Most industries are very competitive, so if one provider stands out from the crowd based on the price of their product or service the chance are they have had to cut corners somewhere, usually on quality or results…
Bargain hunters think they have got a good value tune up, until their runs like a bag of spanners, or doesn’t run at all. What appeared to be a cheap remap ends up costing them a lot more than it would to use a professional in the first place.
Please take the time to look around our site and see what some of our existing customers have to say about our service. These customers are real people (not made up names) and have kindly agreed to be contacted by prospective customers.
Our best advice is to research the company you plan to use, before you let them loose on your vehicle. Failure to do so could end up costing you a lot more long term than you save short term by using a hobby tuner.
