What You Need To Know

We can guarantee that your vehicle will be returned to the original pre-recall software version. This means that any of the issues that could have potentially been caused as a result of the software update will not occur.

However, we CANNOT guarantee that such problems won’t happen in the future, as these issues can occur during the engine’s lifetime, anyway.

Will A Remap Fix The Problem?

NO! We would not recommend a remap as it could, in fact, make the situation worse. A generic remap will not restore the original software, it’ll only slightly improve the drive and performance of the VAG patched software.

How Did The VAG Emission Issues Start?

When cars are manufactured in the UK, they are required to meet the standards of the European Union’s regulation set in place in an effort to reduce the amount of emissions cars produce. According to government figures cars are responsible for 20% of all air pollution.

How did VAG comply with strict EU emissions regulations?

VAG created a piece of software that would hide the actual amount of emissions produced by the car while it was being tested.

This allowed VAG Group to get away with producing cars that emitted more emissions than they should have.

When it was discovered that VAG Group had effectively cheated the system, they were charged by the EU to reverse the emissions defeat software patch and bring their cars in line with EU emission standards

This resulted in the group needing to find a quick fix to solve the problem; unfortunately, the so-called fix has caused a lot of problems for a lot of owners.

We are one of the only companies in the UK able to offer this fix and solution.

Do I Have to take my Vehicle to A Dealer for the recall

No! By doing so will mean an update to the ECU software which could cause further issues with your vehicle.

I went for a remap on my T5 as it had an awful flat spot around 2800 rev's I got great personal service and its like having a new engine in the van smooth power and greater economy.... Popped in to see Mike on Friday to have my A4 2.0TDi 170hp remapped. Have to say I was a little pessimistic at first having being told by another firm that remaps on these were a nightmare so was expecting the worst! Thankfully, nothing of the sort, straight in, one error message unknown but Mike worked it out and all done in no time. Straight out for a test run and the drive is very different, certainly mid ranged (where these engines seem to suffer) pulls away nicely and can definitely feel the benefit.
